Project Manager - Cyber Division
STR is seeking a Project Manager (PM) who is passionate about collaborative problem solving. The PM will manage a portfolio of research and development programs, including all program phases, from ideation, marketing, and proposal development through execution and program close-out.

The Role:
- Manage research project staffing, finances and schedule
- Working with the principal investigator, technical staff, subcontractors, and support personnel, identify and address risks and issues
- Manage program performance through review of metrics and program execution milestones
- Gather, evaluate, and synthesize data from multiple sources, such as project reports, project staff, and customer feedback to understand and communicate status and to identify trends
- Interact with external program customers and company leadership
- A US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance
- A mid-level technical manager with a minimum of a BS in a scientific, engineering or mathematical discipline, and some experience managing R&D projects
- Experience in R&D or advanced development project management within the DoD or IC, and/or functional experience directly supporting program objectives such as managing cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Able to manage scientists and engineers across broad areas of expertise
- Able to achieve cost, schedule, and customer objectives on advanced technology programs
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment to enable successful contract execution
- Able to build strong customer relationships and establish open lines of communication
- Motivated collaborator and effective communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience writing technical proposals, developing statements of work, estimating project costs, and/or leading proposal efforts
- Experience spanning all project phases, from ideation to technology research and product development
- Working knowledge of DOD acquisition policy and processes
- Technical breadth and a demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple, technically diverse programs and teams.
- Experience marketing and capturing new projects
